Agape World Fellowship

For The LOVE of GOD

Agapeworldfellowship.org is the website home for our 3 Dimensional Virtual Reality (3DVR) fellowship called "Agape". pronounced: "A Gah Pay" means "God's Love" and is the purist and most powerful form of love, an unconditional love which is based upon commitment and choice.

Agape World Fellowship Universe is a free Christian ministry for all to enjoy. You can download the special browser and enter our 3DVR universe as a visitor and become a citizen just by registering with us. To register just click on the "Register" button under the Main menu on your left, we'll respond within 48 hours.

Come to fellowship, worship, pray and sing to the Lord with other brothers and sisters in Christ or if you just want to chat, build and have fun, you can do that too.

Agape World Fellowship (AWF) is first and foremost a Christian world ministry and fellowship. Our core purpose is to reach out into Online communities and bring all to Jesus Christ, that they may know Him as their Lord and Savior.

Agape began to take shape after sharing a Vision the Lord had given me with a few friends during the Spring of 2003. The Vision was to minister to shut-ins, people who rarely get out of their homes due to illness or hardship. We had all experienced degrees of depression and knew others online that had or were going through depression.

We fellowshipped together for nearly a year though we had no specific place to meet on a regular basis. We began meeting on our own 3DVR world called "Agape" in 2004 in the Active Worlds universe and soon after that formed the AWF Council, (which is now called the AWF Board)

Our online fellowship encourages Christians in their walk with the Lord and witnesses to visitors about the personal relationship that we can all have with God when we accept Jesus Christ as our Lord and Savior and ask Him to forgive us of our sins and about the Holy Spirit who strengthens and encourages us each day. We pray in fellowship of two or more, counsel with those who ask and draw upon our Lord Jesus Christ through the Holy Spirit to guide us each and every day. We are non-denominational and welcome all to fellowship, worship and enjoy what the Lord has given us..

Agape has had many contributers since our beginnings in 2003. Thank You Dear Lord for everything You do and have done for this ministry. We also want to thank all of our contributers including: ScottyDM of Frobozz.ws , PeLican of Pelican3D.com , Karten of DCFServices.info, QueenRaMel of QRMGraphics.net, Dream.Out.Loud, LadySpunky, KeithB, Randy, Diane of Sails, Muzik, Shalimar, Calmheart, and sooo many more.

Agape World Fellowship Universe, (AWF) is a FREE Christian universe, which means there is NO cost to anyone to join, Christian and non-Christian and is supported totally by tithes and donations. Rev. Bob Shoemaker, the founder of AWF is the Senior Pastor.

A Christian

Agape World Fellowship is a non-denominational, First Century Christian church. We try to steer clear of doctrine or dogma that has come about after the end of the Apostalic age. Basically meaning, "If it was good enough for Jesus and His Apostles then it's good enough for us". Anything after that time is subject to study, scrutiny and prayer. We believe that all who call themselves Christians are welcome to worship with us. A Christian is defined in this way:

A Christian is someone who has accepted Jesus, (who is the Christ and the Son of God), as their Lord and Savior.
A Christian has asked God to forgive them of their sins knowing that it is only by the blood of Christ, shed on the cross that they can be forgiven and Saved from an eternity in Hell.
A Christian must be baptized by water in the sight of other Christians as a public sign of their commitment to God. This is called "Water Baptism"
A Christian has to ask the Holy Spirit to into their life, to guide them each day in their walk with the Lord. This is called "Baptism in the Holy Spirit".

The above are the basics of what it means to be a Christian. Below are some things all Christians should know and do.

A Christian prays (speaks and listens) to God at every moment of everyday, often called "continuous prayer", but also looks to times when they can be in "deep prayer" with the Lord.
A Christian studies their Bible daily so as to be well acquainted with "God's Word".
A Christian seeks counsel from their elders or pastor in addition to prayer and study in the Bible.
A Christian actively Witnesses to the Lost and gives their own Testimony when needed to help others.
A Christian seeks regular fellowship with a Bible believing, Spirit led church or group at least weekly. In fact daily is best.
A Christian is active in their own church or group and does not just sit in the back asleep.
A Christian knows that they are their brothers keeper. All Christians are responsible for the Lost.
A Christian does not know the day or hour that God will take us to be with Him but we remain faithful to follow Christ and the leading of the Holy Spirit through Tribulation, Tests and Time.

Statement Of Beliefs

We are a Christ-centered, Bible believing fellowship who constantly renew our commitment to a deeper understanding of God and His will for us and in the joy of salvation we worship God in Christian unity.

We believe in individual responsibility before God in each of our lives, thoughts and actions, understanding that other Christian views may differ slightly but all hold accountable to the basic essentials of Christian Doctrine.

We seek growth through study of God’s Word, prayer, and guidance by the Holy Spirit. Having, great love and admiration for each other without respect for nationality, wealth, race, gender, age, social status, or doctrinal differences.

We are therefore committed to seeking the will of God in our lives and faithfully dedicating our lives to the service of Jesus Christ.

Our Tenets of Faith

We believe the Holy Bible consists of the Old and New Testaments, that it is the divinely inspired Word of God and is the only final, perfect rule of our faith and practice.

We believe in One Creator God eternally existing in three persons: Father, Son and Holy Spirit.

We believe that Jesus Christ was begotten of the Holy Spirit, born of the Virgin Mary and is true God and true man; that He died for our sins, rose from the dead and ascended into heaven where He now reigns as our Lord and Savior. He will return to one day to take the living and the dead in Christ up with Him to Glory.

We believe that each person has a sinful nature, is therefore lost, and needs to be Saved, by Grace, through Faith in Jesus Christ as Lord and Savior and that no one can do it for themselves, it is a gift of God. Our sins are paid for by the shed blood of Jesus Christ upon the cross at Calvary.

We believe in the work of the Holy Spirit in the new birth, indwelling the believer, causing him to grow into the likeness of Christ and filling him with power to live a godly life and to bear witness of Jesus Christ.

We believe in the union of all true believers as one body in Christ.

We believe that the Body of Christ is divinely commissioned to proclaim Jesus Christ as the only Savior, to proclaim His death for our sins, to proclaim His resurrection, and to make disciples of all who will repent of their sins and follow Him.

Definitions

GOD

God is the creator of all things whose fullness is beyond all human conceptions. He is eternal, omnipotent, omniscient, and omnipresent.

Jesus Christ

Jesus Christ is the promised Messiah, born of the Virgin Mary who died for the sins of all mankind. He was crucified, died, buried, resurrected on the third day, and ascended to heaven to return at the appointed time to establish the Kingdom of God. We fully recognize the deity of Jesus being both man and God who is deserving of great honor, glory, and reverence of which every knee should bow.

Holy Spirit

The Holy Spirit is our Comforter promised by Jesus Christ, which lives inside of us, guiding in all truths to salvation. We further believe His power and gifts are available to believers today.

The Bible

The Bible is the inspired, infallible and authoritative Word of God containing his plan of salvation for mankind and is the foundation of knowledge and the final authority of faith, life, truth, and happiness.

Salvation

Salvation is the deliverance from the bondage of sin, our atonement to God with the assurance of eternal life, coming from the voluntary sacrifice of Christ on the Cross of Calvary for our sins. We believe in the resurrection of both the saved and the lost; they that are saved unto the resurrection of life, and they that are lost unto the resurrection of damnation.

Grace

Grace is the free, unmerited gift of eternal life, which God gives to those who have a change of heart and start a new life in Christ. Through faith in Christ we are always under the umbrella of Grace.

Christianity

Christians are people acting in faith who accept only Jesus Christ as their Savior and in whom the Holy Spirit lives inside creating a new birth. This new birth lives a different life by following the footsteps of Christ and shows Christian fruits of the Holy Spirit as evidence.

Baptism

Baptism is an outward expression and testimony of our life-surrender to the Lord Jesus Christ; being symbolic of Jesus' death, burial, and resurrection.

Ministry

We believe all Christians have varying callings from God, and are given spiritual gifts to fulfill their callings. God chooses to call who He will, or to use any instrument, to accomplish His Will. When, not "If" He calls you, take heed to listen carefully, willingly, and thoughtfully. Seek His Will and do not turn away from His calling in your life.
